BOSTON,
1949.

Born from the U.S. Rubber Company, a pioneer in rubber footwear, PRO-KEDS was created to meet the needs of a new generation of athletes.

PRO-KEDS soon become legendary

[Kareem Abdul‑Jabbar, Pete Maravich, Michael Jordan] and worn by some of the greatest legends: Kareem Abdul‑Jabbar, Pete Maravich, Magic Johnson, and a young Michael Jordan. PRO-Keds stepped onto the court for five NBA championship runs with the Minneapolis Lakers (now L.A. Lakers). The New York Jets’ Super Bowl win. Manolo Santana’s Grand Slam triumphs.

In the ’70s, PRO-Keds moved from the courts to the streets of New York.

[PRO-KEDS: A SYMBOL OF STREETWEAR] where a new culture was born between the concrete and the rhythm of the Big Apple. PRO-Keds became a symbol of streetwear and personal expression, turning into a must-have for a young Biggie Smalls and the emerging hip-hop movement.

Almost 80 years later, PRO-KEDS is back.
